OUR STORY
YAMP was launched from a burning passion to see young followers of Jesus thrive in their faith and life. It was launched by Rob & Camille Parkman Ministries during the global pandemic, showing that young adults could learn to flourish and be renewed, even during challenging times in society.
GOALS & PHILOSOPHY
Our goals are to help young adults become stronger in their faith, reach their goals, and flourish in every area of their lives through Spirit-led listening, discerning, worship, prophetic ministry, teaching and mentoring. Our philosophy is that accelerated growth happens when the mentee is motivated, growth environments are created, & the mentor team leverages their gifts as catalysts in partnership with the Holy Spirit. We have found that this approach is helping students to get a lot of traction in their life goals within a short amount of time.
FINANCIAL APPROACH
The value of this high calibre, transformational program is $400/month. However, we have generous donors that have subsidized the program so young adults can get it for only $80/month- that is a 80% subsidy. And there is a discount for married couples ($120/month). If the cost is a challenge we do have options... So make sure you check in with us as we want no one left behind because of cost! (Note: food and accommodation for retreats is extra, but we do our best to keep the cost down.)
DIRECTORS
Rob Parkman [BRS, MA, PHD (candidate)] & Camille Parkman [BA, ARCT] bring decades of experience in discipling and empowering young adults. Rob is an author & leadership coach who has had his research published (i.e.- Journal of Applied Christian Leadership & American Association of Christian Counselors) and has presented in 16 countries. Camille is a song-writer & worship leader with 4 GMA Covenant Award nominations. Together, they have raised their sons to be kingdom influencers, and they have invested into numerous young adults who are emerging Christian leaders.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The 8-month program consists of 8 monthly coaching calls, 8 individual coaching calls and 3 in-person full weekend retreats. We work with young adults who have a strong desire to grow, who are teachable, and are ready and willing to take massive action to succeed. YAMP helps young adults with the many challenges of their age group. This Biblically-based program has been developed from research, life & ministry experience, and experience in teaching and mentoring thousands of students across Canada and around the world.
